CONFERENCES

NMA Annual Conference Registration Underway

The National Management Association’s annual conference is scheduled for September 27-30 at the Westin La Paloma Resort in Tucson, Arizona. The desert city offers distinctive attractions including Saguaro cacti, Mexican-American cultural heritage, and notable facilities like the University of Arizona’s Mt. Lemmon Sky Center and Biosphere 2.

The event features speakers including Suzy Siegle, George Campbell, Jason Schechterle, Harvey Alston, and Jack Canfield, the 2023 Wilbur McFeely Award recipient and author of “Chicken Soup for the Soul.”

Conference Schedule

Wednesday opens with a welcome mixer. Thursday includes a Member of the Year breakfast and keynote address, with Jack Canfield speaking at lunch followed by educational sessions. Friday highlights a Hall of Fame breakfast, educational programming, roundtable discussions, and a Recognition Lunch announcing the 2024 conference location. Saturday features an opening session, the NMA Speech Contest, afternoon activities including spa access and five off-site options, concluding with the Executive of the Year Banquet.

Shorey Silent Auction

The auction supports the speech contest, with online and in-person components. Items can be mailed directly to the hotel — information is on the conference web page.

Conference Charity

Make Way for Books, a Southern Arizona literacy organization, is this year’s charity partner. Attendees are encouraged to bring new or gently used children’s books for donation.
