LMLA Kings Bay awards scholarships

The Lockheed Martin Leadership Association (LMLA) Chapter 542-Kings Bay distributed $3,000 in scholarships to two accomplished high school graduates during a June 7, 2022 banquet. Recipients submitted essays outlining desired world changes and potential obstacles they might face.

Kaitlyn “Gracie” Dillingham, daughter of Christopher and Allison Dillingham from Fernandina Beach, received a $1,000 scholarship. She graduated with honors from Fernandina Beach High School, maintaining a 4.8 GPA. She will attend Rollins College to pursue psychology and neuroscience studies leading toward a doctorate, advocating strongly for mental health awareness.

Addison Gowen, daughter of Kristy and Joseph Gowen of Woodbine, was awarded $2,000. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Camden County High School as a National Honor Society and Senior Beta Club member. She plans to study exercise science at Georgia Southern University before becoming a Physician’s Assistant.

The Lockheed Martin Employee Memorial Scholarship, established in 1988, supports dependents pursuing post-secondary education. Since inception, the SWFLANT LMLA chapter has provided more than $145,000 in scholarships to over 100 recipients.
