Emotional Intelligence (EI) is often included in leadership development programs. But why? The session will discuss key components of EI and explain how it relates to leadership. Real-world examples will demonstrate how EI has helped (and hurt) leaders. Understanding your own emotions and reading the emotions of others is critical to your success as a leader.

Two registration options are available: a 12 PM Eastern session and a 3 PM Eastern session.

About Jennifer

As Global Leader for Learning & Development at Trustwave, Jennifer Sutherland oversees learning, diversity and engagement activities for the global cybersecurity organization of 1,800 employees. She created and leads the Global Diversity Council and implements the leadership development program, including New Manager Orientation and leadership skills courses.

Jennifer is a seasoned training professional with more than 17 years’ experience, with substantial sales and sales management expertise across banking, healthcare, insurance, IT training, educational software and non-profit sectors. She previously led a training team of 180+ remote professionals and directed training initiatives for a division of 8,000+ employees.

Active in the learning and development industry, Jennifer hosts events, publishes articles, and presents at panels and as a keynote speaker. She holds an Executive MBA from Davenport University and maintains memberships in ATD, SOCAP, and Inforum.
